Welcome to the OBS Minecraft server portal. Here you can find info about the server and register for VIP to enable you to protect chests etc.
VIP is a status given on our server that enables extra features. Some of the features are..
- Protect Chests so only you can access them. (Commands: /lwc)
- Set your home so that you can teleport back there quickly. (Commands: /sethome, /home)
- And many many more...
Please note VIP is completely FREE
Whilst access to our servers and a VIP account is 100% FREE, in order to play on our servers you MUST have purchased an actual real Minecraft game account from Minecraft.net. That means that we DO NOT support hacked or offline clients in any way shape or form. Go buy the game and stop being a freeloader.

The staff have spent the last 2 weeks preparing and building a fun day to be held on Sunday the 19th of May. There will be events and games running all day depending on player numbers
The main events are
Mob Arena. The last person alive will win an End Portal
Maze. The person who completes the maze in the quickest time will win a World Guard Protection. Limits will apply
Spleef. The winner will get 10k Ob$
Parkour. The fastest person to get round the course will win a Private Stargate
Treasure Hunt has various prizes
Raffle has various prizes
There will be other games that are just for fun like Pig Riding and there will be a competition called ''Who Lives in a House Like This?'' where you need to guess which staff member lives in which house. Other events may be available at the time
The Fun Day will start around 1pm GMT and will go on till around midnight GMT. Please check this post on Saturday 18th to get up to date times for the main events

Please be aware that as of now Guests are no longer restricted to Guest World and can build in any world (except Xyris and Flat World). They will continue to spawn in Guest World and can stay there if they chose to do so, but they also have the option to move and build freely in other worlds.
An important note to add is that we will also be relaxing the griefing rule somewhat and it will only be applied in the most severe cases. This means if a few blocks have been broken we will not be taking action or reverting. ALL VIP players have the ability to use Protection Stones so make sure you protect what you do not want being damaged. Staff discretion will be applied as appropriate.

We have been toying with the idea of creating a world that guests (non registered players) can join and crack on with building and playing without the requirement of registering for quite some time now. We are pleased to say that this new world is finally live. It is a relatively small world that will have areas regenerated from time to time. Guests have basic play ability to build and survive in this world only. It gives guests a chance to sample the server and get settled in without effort. If they wish to play the rest of the worlds and use all the protection features and tools that VIP offers then they can still register for FREE as has always been the way with OBSMC. Rules Summary Video<![CDATA[<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/9D9w1yFLW6A" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/9D9w1yFLW6A</a>]]> Server RulesFollowing the rules listed here will make everyone's game far more enjoyable. - Abusive, racist, sexually explicit, homophobic and general offensive remarks will NOT be tolerated in text, voice chat or nick/screen names.
- Deliberate misspelling of words to evade the swear filter will result in a ban.
- Trading and/or linking to illegal (games, software, films, pornography etc) material is strictly forbidden.
- Not listening to an admin/mod request is grounds for kick or ban.
- Cheating and use of game/map exploits are strictly prohibited, players caught doing so will be banned permanently.
- Do not use our servers as a recruiting ground for other servers (Advertising etc).
- We have players from all parts of the world so please use English in text or voice chat. At least try.
- Any reference to Nazi/SS ideology or similar bs will not be tolerated. In chat or nicknames. This will result in an immediate ban.
- Ganking or persistent harassment of other players is not permitted. Killing is only permitted in designated PVP areas.
- Persistent hassling of the Mods or Admins for items, spawns, protections or any other method is not tolerated and will lead to kicks and bans.
- Impersonation of Mods or Admins will be followed by an immediate and permanent ban.
- Griefing (Destroying) other people structures is strictly forbidden.
- Using caps in a form of spam will result in a 1 hour mute.
This list is by no means exhaustive, if a player is deemed to be causing a nuisance to other players, degrading game play or server performance and such then a kick/ban may be issued against the player. The rules are subject to change at any time so even if you are a regular player then you are best advised to check them often.Rule EnforcementIt is down to the individual administrator or moderators own judgement upon how to handle a breach of the rules and depending on the severity of the breach, to how it is dealt with. The general procedure for rule enforcement is as follows: - Warning - In most cases a player will be warned either by the administrator or moderator.
- Kill - Sometimes a means to get attention of a player will be by a moderator kill.
- Jail - We sometimes may employ a jail term for some offenders. This means you will be secured in a jail for a set period.
- Kick - On slightly more severe cases a kick will be administered with a reason detailing why. A kick will also be issued for those that do not heed a warning.
- Temporary Ban - If the rule breaking is severe, depending on the situation, a player may get temporary ban which can be minimum of 1 hour, up to 30 days. This will be exhausted first before a permanent ban comes into effect.
- Ban - Upon blatant rule breaking or severe behavior of a player they will be subject to a ban, the ban will most probably be permanent.
If you find yourself banned then by all means you are welcome to plead your case in the appropriate section of the forums. If you have a grievance with a particular moderator and are unable to resolve the situation in a calm manner then please inform an administrator who will look into the complaint thoroughly.
